Our Spring 2008 DGSI Workshop Season is over and what a season it was!! Ron Carter, Francois Rabbath, Ben Wolfe, Drew Gress, Jim Stinnett and Tim Cobb presented exciting, inspiring and informative workshops on such topics as  "Introduction to The New Technique and The Art of The Bow" (Rabbath) to "Audition Techniques" (Cobb).

The great news is that it is not too late to see any and all of these workshops!! Over the last year we have been working with mikesmasterclasses.com to stream The Workshop Series at David Gage String Instruments in an interactive format on the Internet. Thus all of the workshops of the last year and also a couple of events from the previous year are now available on line at mikesmasterclasses.com. Below is a list of of available workshops:

The intimate environment allows each member of the audience to enjoy the presentation and also participate in a group discussion with the performer. Each clinic is unique and worthwhile experience. Previous seasons have included workshop/performances by Francois Rabbath, Ron Carter, Avishai Cohen, Ben Wolfe, Eugene Levinson, Harvie S, Ray Drummond, Eddie Gomez and legendary bassist Henry Grimes.

2006-2007 will be our sixth season of presenting our Performance Workshops and for those of you who don't know about them they are a treat for string-bass players and enthusiasts of all kinds. The intimate environment allows each member of the audience to enjoy the presentation and also participate in a group discussion with the performer. Each clinic is unique and worthwhile experience. Previous seasons have included workshop/performances by Eddie Gomez, Ben Wolfe, Eugene Levinson, Harvie S, Ray Drummond, Eddie Gomez and legendary bassist Henry Grimes.
