Welcome to the Community pages of our website, pages that are for and about the great community of musicians we serve. In time, we hope, these pages will also be "by" them - by you, that is -as well. Our greatest wish for this area is that it may become as lively as a village square on market day. So by all means surf around and check out all the different parts of this area and if all of a sudden an idea crosses your mind about something to add or correct, don't hesitate to drop us a line. We are planting the seed; in the end these pages can be truly useful only through your active and constant participation.

Below is a run down of what (very soon) is going to be appearing in this area of our website:

• The Artists in Focus page will most definitely be "by" our community: it will feature samples and information about the latest CDs of some of our bass and cello playing friends and clients. We also plan to keep a list of recently released or about to be released cello and bass recordings; so if your baby is about to pop or has just popped, send us all the pertinent information and we'll put it up on our list.
• The Around Town page we hope will contain an up-to-date listing of who is playing where, how and when. Please drop us a line if you are playing anywhere in or about New York.
• The David Gage Wall of Fame might actually end up being a door frame instead of wall, or maybe it will have both a door frame and a wall, but which ever thing it ends up being it will be a fun thing to visit and it will have photos and notes from recent visitors to our shop as well as scans from the great collection of photos we have gathered over the twenty years we have been in business.
• Dread and anxiety at the airline check-in counter is a permanent fact of any bassist's or cellist's life. The Travel Blues page might not help solve this in any permanent way, but maybe it will provide enough tips, tricks, strategies and lies to help us get through another day and another trip. There are a million travel stories out there and we hope you share yours with us. And when we put in place the Airline Survey we have planned, we hope this area of our Community pages will become a clearinghouse for the latest information regarding airlines and airports around the US and the world.

The Community area of our website is going to be fluid, experimental and constantly changing. Be sure to check back often to see what we have been up to.
